As we celebrated WORLD TOURISM DAY 2025 under the transformative theme “Tourism and Sustainable Transformation,” our organization took concrete action to demonstrate how the tourism industry can be a powerful force for environmental and social good. On this significant day, September 27th, we launched our initiative to plant 1,000 mangrove saplings in the pristine coastal waters of Cochin, Kerala as part of our comprehensive approach to achieving net-zero emissions and combating climate change. While we recognize that eliminating all greenhouse gas emissions may not be immediately possible for every tourism company, our carbon offsetting strategy through mangrove conservation represents an achievable and impactful pathway toward carbon Neutrality.
This mangrove restoration project provides our company with direct control over carbon offset management, offering significant advantages over third-party carbon credit purchases. With our Cochin office providing local oversight, we maintain complete transparency and accountability while tracking tree planting progress and calculating carbon sequestration from one of the most effective carbon-absorbing ecosystems available.
