Thomas Cook (India) Limited, signed an agreement as the exclusive partner (Accommodation & Transport) for the Asian Aquatic Championships 2025. This Olympic-style, multi-sport extravaganza was organized by the Swimming Federation of India (SFI) and supported by the Sport Authority of Gujarat (SAG), marking it India’s first-ever hosting of the Asian Aquatics Championships — a significant milestone for Indian sports.
Thomas Cook India’s MICE team delivered end-to-end management across key portfolios of accommodation, transport, logistics, airport arrivals and F&B coordination for a strong 1100+ contingent, including over 650+ athletes, 60+ support staff and dignitaries from 29 Asian nationalities, competing across Swimming, artistic swimming, diving and water polo at the Veer Savarkar Sports Complex, Ahmedabad.
To ensure a smooth and world-class experience, the Thomas Cook India MICE team deployed a dedicated team of 40+ members to manage operations across 6 hotel locations over a duration of 15 days.
Airport Arrival & Departure Services
Thomas Cook’s dedicated airport operations team oversaw the entire arrival and departure experience, providing 24/7 on-ground assistance at both international and domestic terminals in Ahmedabad. Exclusive parking bays for cars and coaches were arranged for immediate transfers, while SFI, SAG and Thomas Cook teams were stationed at terminals to ensure smooth arrivals, efficient customs facilitation and seamless transport connectivity.
Logistics Management
To ensure seamless mobility and on-time delivery, Thomas Cook India deployed premium coaches and cars, and carefully pre-planned shuttle services. A 24/7 logistics control centre ensured smooth coordination and on-ground efficiency throughout the event.
Accommodation & F&B Management
Thomas Cook India, in collaboration with leading hotel partners, curated exceptional Indian and international culinary experiences for guests. The menu included diverse vegetarian, vegan, halal, kosher and gluten-free options to cater to specific dietary preferences, complemented by a selection of Asian, Middle Eastern and continental cuisines designed to offer a variety for participants and delegates.
