\u00a0Indeed, a large group of dedicated people who\u00a0 delivered more than they were paid to do, who went that extra mile,\u00a0 whose commitment to excellence in their work was outstanding, were rewarded by the company. They were bestowed the Roll Of Honour (ROH), and recognised for their contribution to the organisation.\u00a0 They were flown to Baku for an exotic holiday— for\u00a0 the Performers’ Meet.<\/span><\/div>\n

Baku<\/em> is located 28 metres (92 ft) below sea level, which makes it the lowest lying national capital in the world, and also the largest city in the world located below sea level. The beautiful city is the cultural, industrial and political capital of Azerbaijan. Amidst these striking surroundings our heroes were wined, dined and felicitated.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

“A memorable experience that we will cherish forever.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Right from the start even as we boarded the flight, we were made to feel special. In fact, in the Sharjah to Baku flight, there was a special announcement for the Thomas Cook folks, as out of the 166 passengers, 160 were from the Thomas Cook Group. It made us feel special, and we all cheered from the aisles.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Once we landed at the hotel, there was a warm welcome by Mona and Mahesh – garlanding us with a medallion!<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The hotel itself was a very grand one – one of the top 10 hotels of the world, which had an amazing view of the city . I must\u00a0 mention that all our rooms overlooked the city.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Welcome<\/a>The itinerary was well thought out and planned to ensure maximum fun and frolic\/ activities and visits to the most of the spectacular places with stunning and magnificent views that Baku had to offer.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The welcome dinner on the first day was absolutely happening! With the unlimited food and drinks, live barbecue and other chaat counters, and the DJ playing rocking music with the entire club only to ourselves, we let our hair down,\u00a0 shaking our legs to the Bollywood numbers!<\/span><\/strong>
\n Oh yes, the food was lavish, exquisite, well planned menus on all days, and our palate was more than satisfied. The JW Marriott dinner, the Azeri local cuisine and dinner on the last night were a treat!<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The monuments, the Ferris wheel, the museums (including the carpet and tiny book museums), the Shahdag and fire mountains with the activities (zip-line and cable car) there, the go carting, the indoor (pistol) and outdoor (double trap) shooting sessions were some things that we thoroughly, thoroughly enjoyed and will cherish for a long, long time.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
