This new road will improve the country\u2019s transport network, and people\u2019s lives, in facilitating travel, as well as further integrating Cambodia into the Asian community. It will also play a key role in increasing the number of tourists to the country particularly to Kampong Thom, Siem Reap and neighbouring provinces like Preah Vihear that are rich in historical sites and nature.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">With the opening of the road Asian Trails Cambodia expects shorter overland transfer times between Phnom Penh and Siem Reap.<\/span><\/p>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Bali plays host to IMF and World Bank Conference<\/strong><\/span><\/h5>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Bali will host the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank Conference from October 12th -14th 2018, one of the biggest conferences to be held on the island. More than 15,000 people comprising the organisations\u2019 officials, delegates, participants and members of the media will converge on Bali\u2019s Nusa Dua, the famous tourist area in south Bali, filling all available accommodation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Between October 10th -20th Nusa Dua will be secured for pre-and post-conference meetings, putting a lot of pressure on providers of accommodation and meeting facilities. Asian Trails Indonesia advises clients to avoid Nusa Dua during these dates due to the high security measures being implemented.<\/span><\/p>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Borneo &#8212; A Showcase of Exotic Culture and Tradition<\/strong><\/span><\/h5>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The <a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/asiantrails.us13.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=53b3f716dddb402770f86459e&amp;id=000fa98c65&amp;e=55a666f575\">Borneo Arts Festival<\/a> is back in Labuan, an island in East Malaysia and a Federal Territory in Malaysia, from September 28th-30th 2018 featuring cultural and contemporary performances. Artistes from across Malaysia, and neighbours including Brunei and Indonesia, will entertain visitors with visual arts, traditional ethnic music like the mukun (percussions performed by women), and recitals. The programme will also include fusion concerts with traditional instruments like the gambus, and fashion shows of traditional ethnic costumes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The festival is a great time to learn and see the exotic culture of Borneo with its rich and colourful traditions in performing arts.<\/span><\/p>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Asian Trails Myanmar\u2019s Participation in Communities and Tourism Conference<\/strong><\/span><\/h5>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The move by companies in Myanmar to operate sustainable and responsible tourism has led to various initiatives to achieve this objective. One of these is the recent 3rd National Conference on Communities and Tourism in Kalaw in the Shan State. It brought together experts and tourism players to discuss sustainability in the tourism industry. One of the speakers was Hans Seide, a pioneer in sustainable tourism.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Asian Trails Myanmar was represented at the conference by its station manager for the Shan State, Myint Ko Ko \u2013 an affirmation of its commitment to responsible tourism, and its cooperation with partners to find sustainable ways to operate the country\u2019s tourism business.<\/span><\/p>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>George Town Festival celebrates Penang\u2019s Art, Culture and Heritage<\/strong><\/span><\/h5>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/asiantrails.us13.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=53b3f716dddb402770f86459e&amp;id=7b9f59991b&amp;e=55a666f575\">George Town Festival<\/a>, which takes place every August on the Malaysian island of Penang, is an annual month-long celebration of culture, heritage, art and community. This year it\u00a0 is on from August 4th to September 2nd 2018.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Inaugurated in 2010 in honour of George Town\u2019s designation as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the festival transforms the city into a global stage showcasing world-class performances from both international and local artistes. It also creates vibrant connections between the traditional and the contemporary, the past and the future.
