It’s been a hard week.\u00a0 You have been diligently trying to finish that project or assignment. Suddenly, a colourful mail catches your eye . . . it is inviting you to do something different.\u00a0 You look up with interest. Something exciting is brewing.\u00a0 Suddenly your workload seems lighter, shorter ….\u00a0 quicker!<\/span><\/p>\n

For once again HR has come up with something quirky and fun. Something that fires the imagination, teases the brain, and involves your colleagues. The idea is to add levity and joyfulness into a hardworking day.<\/span><\/p>\n

The motto? \u00a0 \u201cIf you feel good, you perform good\u201d<\/em><\/strong> .<\/span><\/p>\n

Keeping this in mind,\u00a0 our Fundamentals team a.k.a \u201cHappiness Boosters\u201d has taken various initiatives to help our colleagues\u00a0 \u2018beat the blues<\/em>\u2019. The HR team announced its new motto of \u201cInspired Partnerships\u201d in June 2018 \u2013 with a strong focus on Connecting\u2013 Developing \u2013 Transforming the way of life at Thomas Cook India.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2018\"kids<\/a>Bring your Kids to Work\u2019 day was organized at Gurugram, Delhi and Kolkata and it was a great success with kids enjoying various art and craft activities, games and finally the show stopper event \u2013 A magic show! How the little ones loved it.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

The Marathon office witnessed Amitabah Bachchan\u2019s (pssst!\u2026 it was a very convincing look alike<\/em>) live interactive dance show. This was followed by\u00a0the \u201cMay Bhi Bollywood\u201d quiz show, where the entrants showed their intense competitive spirit .
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

\"umberella\"<\/a>With the monsoon upon us, our colleagues also got a chance to display their creativity with the \u2018Umbrella Painting\u2019 competitions held across our offices. It was certainly ‘raining’ talent and splashes of vibrant colour livened up the ‘brollies’.<\/span><\/p>\n

Employees were urged to display their \u2018inner child<\/em>\u2019 (dil toh baccha hai ji\u2026<\/em>) when the Fundamentals got serious about having fun on \u201cBack 2 School\u201d day in the Western and Southern regions. You had to dress and behave like a student, and post your picture either solo or as a group on the ‘fun@work’ Facebook page.\u00a0 the most numbers of ‘likes’ would be the winner!

The HR team continues to inspire development through various initiatives like \u201cCoffee & Conversation with CXO\u2019s\u201d and \u201cFood for Thought\u201d blogs and articles that are released fortnightly. \"inq\"<\/a>They also continue to connect with the employees through \u201cHR Gobbles\u201d and \u201cInquizitive Fridays\u201d which provide an easy avenue for employees to quickly refresh their know-how on processes and policies. HR also endeavours\u00a0 to acknowledge the commitment of employees through the Long Service Awards which were initiated in January 2018. They are an inspiration to the budding talent in the Company.<\/span><\/p>\n

The tremendous participation in all these initiatives, and the enthusiasm of the staff show how popular these programmes are!. So, three cheers to the\u00a0 our colleagues and the organisers who ensure they have #Fun@Work. HR looks forward to exploring various avenues to continue the\u00a0 \u201cInspiring Partnerships\u201d!<\/span><\/p>\n
