The Sinhala and Tamil New Year is a highly celebrated event in Sri Lankan culture. In keeping with popular tradition, we at Luxe Asia, took the opportunity to chose a day to celebrate\u00a0 the festival.
\n<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0Right after the New Year holidays, on 17th April we gathered to have our own celebrations.\u00a0 No revelry is complete without food, so a beautiful table was set up displaying sumptuous fare.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Everyone enthusiastically participated in the fun.\u00a0 Games such as “eating of tea buns, marking the eye of the elephant and blowing of balloons” had everyone in high spirits. We also picked the “Avurudu Kumaraya & Avurudu Kumariya” . All these are traditionally done on such occasions!<\/span><\/strong>
