Here is our choice for this issue:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

By day, she is a Forex Analyst. Her work involves dealing with business analytics, being precise, compiling data, watching\u00a0FX trends, dealing with facts and figures…. using the left side of the brain! \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\"minakshi-kindo\"<\/span><\/p>\n

But once she is away from work, the right side of her brain takes over and the creative juices start to flow.<\/span><\/p>\n

She is Minakshi Kindo<\/strong>—\u00a0a \u00a0Manager in the TCIL \u00a0M.G. Road, Bangalore Office.<\/span><\/p>\n

She has been writing\u00a0poetry for the last 4-5 years, and her poems are \u00a0inspired by her own\u00a0thoughts which flow through her\u00a0mind… often on a road trip or a weekend.<\/span><\/p>\n

Minakshi has other hobbies too.\u00a0She also indulges in travel and travel writing, playing the piano and singing. Other talents include \u00a0glass and acrylic painting \u00a0all of which help her\u00a0keep a healthy\u00a0work-life balance.<\/span><\/p>\n

Below we give you a sample of her poetry:<\/span><\/p>\n

Children of War<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Pleading eyes hurt and homeless,<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

In situations of crisis cry out for refuge.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Hardships and violence bring childhood to silence,<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Devastated to extremes where damage is huge.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Exiled from their homeland, on knife blades they walk,<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Such are the Children of War.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Darker and red, their hands are wetter than before,<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Still throats unquenched thirsty and sore.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Poor souls, they weep and bleed<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

But seen by the world as terrorist seed.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

No one to share their pain nor borrow it,<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

So that the little flower rediscovers the smile.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

No more toys or company of a teddy bear,<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Their giggles are lost in gunfire.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Glimpses of childhood, then innocent now mature<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Such are the Children of War.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
