The \u00a0RBI had organised the FEMA (Foreign Exchange Management ACT 1999) workshop for FFMCs in\u00a0Ahmedabad on December 29, 2016. The main objective was to familiarize the FFMCs, students, exporters-importers, members of the public and their concurrent auditors, with the extant rules and regulations, and also to seek policy and procedures. The objective was also to improve\u00a0 the operational skills of the FFMC \u00a0in view of the current monetary scenario.<\/span><\/p>\n

This was one of the rare workshops organised by the RBI and\u00a0 Thomas Cook was requested to impart the training to the FFMCs on the topic regarding detection of Counterfeit notes.\u00a0\"img_20170109_185024\"Sanjeev Gupta, General Manager- Service Delivery), gave the detailed presentation, and also discussed \u00a0the new currencies which are to be introduced. There was also a discourse\u00a0on the polymer notes introduced by certain countries to combat fraud. In this seminar, their GM P Gayon, Deputy GM D.B Singh, \u00a0R.A. Kerketta -AGM FED AMD, \u00a0and Shalini Sachan -AGM FED AMD, \u00a0were present. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

RBI D.G.M. D.B.Singh conveyed he was pleased with the workshop and appreciated Sanjay’s role in it. He suggested\u00a0they should conduct\u00a0more workshops for FFMCs\/Banks in the State in collaboration with TCIL.<\/span><\/p>\n
