An ex-colleague, Ms. Paul, reached out to Bipin Raj from our Kochi Foreign Exchange Team to assist Mr. Chalil, a senior citizen in his eighties, who was travelling alone from Kochi via Bengaluru to Europe.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bipin was quick to respond and promptly contacted Athul Raj from our Forex Team at Bengaluru Airport.<\/span><\/p>\n

Travelling during Covid times\u00a0was challenging and very stressful, and more so for the elderly, especially when they are travelling alone.<\/span><\/p>\n

To add to the difficulty, the transit time between the connecting domestic and international flights was over 15 hours.<\/span><\/p>\n

What a boon it must have been for Mr. Chalil to have Bipin and Athul\u00a0 look after him so kindly. This is what leads to loyal customers, when staff go out of their way to be extra helpful.<\/span><\/p>\n

Despite the fact that the request had nothing to do with foreign exchange, Athul went above and beyond to ensure a safe and smooth experience for Mr. Chalil: He met him on arrival at Bengaluru, booked a transit hotel to help him rest. Athul then went on to help Mr. Chalil with the additional RT-PCR test that was required. He also kept in touch with Mr. Chalil\u2018s family to keep them updated and reassured them that Mr. Chalil was safe and well. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Impressed with Bipin\u2019s prompt action and Athul\u2019s inspirational service, Ms. Paul posted a glowing testimonial on Facebook appreciating not only their assistance and professionalism, but also their kindness and for going beyond the call of duty.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
