In today’s fast-paced work environment, taking a moment to pause, recharge, and reconnect is more important than ever. With this in mind, the HR team introduced ESCAPE — a thoughtfully created relaxation and rejuvenation space where staff can unwind, have fun, and take a refreshing break from their daily routine. Hear about it first-hand from HR Manager Caroline Misquitta, and enjoy the photos taken at the opening at the Marathon Office in Mumbai.
Still thinking about your post-lunch plans? We have got just the thing for you!
We are hitting pause on emails, meetings and those “quick calls”, to introduce ESCAPE—our new Employee Relaxation & Rejuvenation Space, designed to support a healthier work-life balance. ESCAPE isn’t just a break area. It is a space created to help you unwind, recharge, and step away from daily pressures. By giving employees a chance to relax and have fun, it plays a key role in reducing stress and preventing burnout—because work should also leave room for enjoyment and personal well-being.
This initiative was thoughtfully brought to life by an incredible team—Mona, Sapna, Suyesh, Caroline, and Deven—who envisioned a workplace where productivity and relaxation go hand in hand.
What was the opening act, you ask?
Our Senior Leadership battling it out on the carrom board!
Yes, really. Titles aside, sleeves rolled up, and the competition was very much on. Sharp shots, surprise strikes, and plenty of laughter as leadership showed off skills beyond the presentation slide. We cheered our favourites, enjoyed the banter, and soaked in the fun.
Once the coins stop flying, ESCAPE was officially yours. Challenge a colleague (or even your boss 😉) to a round of carrom, chess, Snakes & Ladders, UNO, Jenga, or Rummikub., even try your hand at Magmate.
And yes, it is already catching on—employees are making the most of the space during their free time, turning small breaks into moments of fun and connection. So grab a colleague, head over to ESCAPE, and kick off the week the right way.
