Acknowledging the Valuable Contribution of our Retirees

Five stalwarts from our company were honoured and felicitated as they reached the end of their careers in Thomas Cook India, in the last quarter of 2022.

They were Daya Kotian from Foreign Exchange, who retired on 11th October, Dilip Parab also from Foreign Exchange, who retired on 4th November, Gopal Sakpal from  the Legal & Secretarial Team who retired on 24th September, Helen D’souza  and Mala Vijay Salian from the Administration team, who retired on 23rd November and 20th December  respectively.

Retirement is an important stage in an employee’s life. It is like standing at the cross-roads marking the end of their career, and the beginning of a new phase of one’s life.

But you cannot retire from being great!

We at Thomas Cook wanted to honour and acknowledge  the valuable contribution to the organization by these 5 people. On each one’s day of retirement, a small event was organised  for them and their families, to bid them a fond farewell. Senior management staff highlighted their milestones and accomplishments during their tenure with the group. At the function, the retiring employees were presented with a silver salver, chocolates and flowers, followed by the cake cutting, to celebrate their journey with Thomas Cook.  Employees from various teams joined this function held at the cafeteria, to  wish them all the best for their second innings.

In our fast paced world where often the only constant seems to be change, it is a rare privilege indeed, for the company to have had the gift of the time and talents  of these employees for such long tenures. Their  work has been of great  value to us, standing tall and steady through all changes and challenges. We honour their  service, and their legacy of dedication and commitment will continue to inspire us. We  wish them good health, and every success as they move forward. May the days ahead hold much joy and fulfilment for them all.
