Thomas Cook India Well Represented at Prestigious OTM

OTM is a leading gathering of travel trade buyers and professionals in India. The exclusive 3-day event, hosted from 13th-15th September 2022, saw participation from industry pioneers and stalwarts.

Three spokespersons from our Company were invited to be a part of this prestigious occasion. Abraham Alapatt, Daniel D’Souza and Neeraj Singh Dev participated in different panels, to discuss the current dynamics in the travel industry, and the trends shaping the travel market.

In a fireside chat on how travel companies can evolve to succeed in post pandemic conditions, Abraham Alapatt, President & Group Head – Marketing, Service Quality, Value Added Services & Innovation, Thomas Cook (India) and SOTC Travel, in conversation with Sanjiv Agarwal Founder, Fairfest Media discussed in-depth the opportunities and unique challenges — a seeming ‘half-life’ of pandemic restrictions, visa issues, and flux in the geopolitical landscape, and how travel companies — specially small and medium businesses — could evolve and innovate to serve the needs of travellers better, and drive the industry towards a full recovery.

Daniel D’Souza, President  & Country Head – Holidays, SOTC Travel, participated in a panel that discussed trends shaping the Indian Travel Market in 2022 and beyond. Moderated by Sesh Seshadri, former Director, LonelyPlanet, the panel witnessed participation from Brett Thorstad, Vice President — Asia Pacific, Sabre, and Praveen Iyer, Co-founder and Chief Commercial Officer, Akasa Air.

Neeraj Singh Dev, Senior Vice President – Ecommerce India and Shorthaul Holidays, Thomas Cook India & SOTC, participated in a panel on the subject – “Hello New World: Digital Marketing for Travel Brands in an Era of Change”, where he spoke about the role of content in a post-pandemic era where travellers were looking at the purpose, and not just checking out destinations from their bucket-list.  With demand going up to almost pre-pandemic levels, Neeraj spoke of how performance budgets are moving across channels.

It is a matter of pride to know how much Thomas Cook India’s  opinions  and views are  respected and sought after, in the travel industry.
