We are delighted to inform you that RON has added the first FX flash Shop into its kitty on 06th October 2016 at Rudrapur. With this new branch, the RON cluster  will have a robust network of 15 FX outlets spread across four states- Punjab, Haryana, Himachal and Uttarakhand. Rudrapur is the second branch in Uttarakhand after Dehradun.

1It is an important city in the district of Udham Singh Nagar, and the 7th most populous city of Uttarakhand. It is also known as Mini Hindustan as people from all states are found here. Since the establishment of the State Industrial Development Corporation of Uttarakhand (SIDCUL), the city has undergone rapid development, along with literacy growth and higher employment.

It is primarily a student market. The city has an average literacy rate of 75%, higher than the national average of 59.5%. Thomas Cook’s internal research highlighted the powerful growth potential of Rudrapur (a significant source market for Foreign Exchange segments of Overseas Study/Students, Outward Remittances and Prepaid Cards), the Company conceptualised a strategy of small technology assisted outlets to rapidly penetrate this underserved market, and hence the launch of its innovative Thomas Cook Mini. This outlet has been designed optimising space, and will be manned by a 2 member team, equipped with technology via mobile devices/tablets for seamless online connectivity to central systems, thus facilitating quick customer transactions.

The branch was inaugurated by Tilak Raj Behad-Chairman of Uttrakhand State Seed and Organic Production Certificate Agency and former Cabinet Health Minister — Govt of Uttrakhand, in the presence of Praveen Garg–General Manager FX, Subhash Choudhary-Senior Manager FX and Team Dehradun/Rudrapur.
