Thomas Cook India Limited is the first Indian travel company to have signed an MOU with Wildlife Reserves Singapore, the Holding Company of Jurong Bird Park, Night Safari and Singapore Zoo; to focus on developing new products for the Indian market and to raise awareness about wildlife amongst the Indian audience.
Mr. Shishir Khambete and Mr. Gaurav Seth along with the Legal team were a part of this deal. The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between Mr. Mahesh Iyer, Chief Executive Officer, Thomas Cook (India) Limited and Mr. Mark Barcklay – CEO, Wildlife Reserves at the Thomas Cook headquarters in Mumbai.
Thomas Cook India and Wildlife Reserves have entered into a strategic agreement and this three year plan will help to garner more passengers towards this sector. This MOU marks the start of a stronger commitment to protect biodiversity in Singapore and Southeast Asia through partnership with like-minded partners, organisations and institutions.
With this initiative for Indian market, Hindi has been launched as one of the language options during the night safari tram ride. Additionally, Curry Garden – an Indian restaurant has been introduced at Jurong Bird Park.
