“There is no exercise better for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up.”
–John Holmes–
The SOTC employees of Bangalore certainly ‘exercised their hearts’ by volunteering to spend their time with the elderly and specially abled inmates of the Cheshire Home, Bangalore, on 4th August 2018.
The Cheshire Home’s aim is to provide all its residents with the highest standard of care and nursing in a homely environment. The institute works hard towards changing the mindset of society, and tries teaching others to include people with disabilities into the mainstream, so that they develop a sense of equality, and not feel isolated. This would boost their confidence in themselves.
Our staff spent quality time with the residents of the Home, entertaining the elderly residents at Cheshire and befriending them. Activities like singing and dancing brightened their day.
It was an enriching experience for the volunteers, and when the day ended, they left with a feeling of immense satisfaction and joy.
“There is nothing more beautiful than someone who goes out of their way to make life beautiful for others.” — Mandy Hale–
The management of SOTC thanks each volunteer for their enthusiastic support, time and dedication in making life beautiful for others.
