In addition, the list also highlights their noteworthy services in supporting their organisations, despite the unprecedented challenges of the pandemic. The eminent jury comprised of luminaries in the legal field, including Senior Advocates of the Supreme Court of India, Managing Partners of highly respected Law Firms, and Corporates.
It is a very special honour that Ram Kenkare, our President and Group Head – Legal, Secretarial & Administration, has been featured in this prestigious global list.
We asked Ram to give us his take on it, and what he felt about it. Here is what he said:
“The main criteria for the selection of candidates to be a part of the Top 100 General Counsel were:
1) Key Milestones achieved and…
2) An elevator pitch to the jury stating the reasons to be on the Top 100 GC list.
I am of the firm belief that no individual can win a game by himself, and that no one can whistle a symphony. It takes a whole orchestra to play it. The recognition was possible only because of the support from all members of my Team (Legal, Secretarial & Admin), and all my colleagues at Thomas Cook. With a round-the-clock approach, despite the lockdown, and various bottlenecks, the team handled daily new challenges in record time, at a juncture when the covid pandemic was wreaking havoc. With the help of a highly talented but truncated team the targets were achieved with sheer dedication.”
