Onam is the Harvest Festival, when the mythical King Mahabali comes down to Kerala from the netherworld! The team at Cochin is always very innovative when it comes to celebrating a festival. This year the Team began its Onam celebrations by joining the Fort Cochin Residents’ Association in making a huge flower carpet. Then they visited Dhobi Street to meet Rajammal, a “Dhobi” by profession, to donate rice, vegetables and other provisions for Onam since she is unwell and no longer works at this open air laundry.
After that, the team members enjoyed a great feast, sharing a well-deserved homemade meal of traditional dishes together.
