Khelo India is a dynamic multi-disciplinary sports event launched by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in 2018. Its mission is to promote fitness, identify young talent, and foster a strong sporting culture across India. By focusing on grassroots development and offering comprehensive support to athletes, Khelo India 2023 aims to elevate India’s standing on the global sporting stage while inspiring a new generation of athletes to dream big and achieve greatness.
We are proud to tell you that Thomas Cook Mice North were very actively involved in the 3rd Edition of Khelo India University Games hosted in Uttar Pradesh, from 25th May to 3rd June. Our teams were there well in advance from 24th April onwards, to ensure that every detail was planned and executed perfectly and without a glitch.
When one sees the statistics and numbers that went into organising this special event, we realise what a Herculean task it must have been to accomplish everything done by all the teams.

-Hosted in 5 cities – Varanasi / Lucknow / Gorakhpur / Noida and Delhi
-27 different Games
-Avg. Count of 2900 athletes
-Approx. 5500 athletes + 1500 officials
-2.5 Lac meals were served @ 11 venues total during games duration by our chefs
-150 Tour Managers + 200 Volunteers involved
-110 Kitchen team & staff
-1600 hostels rooms for athletes in different cities– for housekeeping
-200 approx. housekeeping staff deployed for the housekeeping of hostels during the stay
-800 ACs installed and maintained during the games
-30 hotels for athletes / officials & VVIP’s
That is huge! Is it any wonder that Thomas Cook was chosen to handle this huge event!
