It’s been a hard week. You have been diligently trying to finish that project or assignment. Suddenly, a colourful mail catches your eye . . . it is inviting you to do something different. You look up with interest. Something exciting is brewing. Suddenly your workload seems lighter, shorter …. quicker!
For once again HR has come up with something quirky and fun. Something that fires the imagination, teases the brain, and involves your colleagues. The idea is to add levity and joyfulness into a hardworking day.
The motto? “If you feel good, you perform good” .
Keeping this in mind, our Fundamentals team a.k.a “Happiness Boosters” has taken various initiatives to help our colleagues ‘beat the blues’. The HR team announced its new motto of “Inspired Partnerships” in June 2018 – with a strong focus on Connecting– Developing – Transforming the way of life at Thomas Cook India.

Bring your Kids to Work’ day was organized at Gurugram, Delhi and Kolkata and it was a great success with kids enjoying various art and craft activities, games and finally the show stopper event – A magic show! How the little ones loved it.
The Marathon office witnessed Amitabah Bachchan’s (pssst!… it was a very convincing look alike) live interactive dance show. This was followed by the “May Bhi Bollywood” quiz show, where the entrants showed their intense competitive spirit .
With the monsoon upon us, our colleagues also got a chance to display their creativity with the ‘Umbrella Painting’ competitions held across our offices. It was certainly ‘raining’ talent and splashes of vibrant colour livened up the ‘brollies’.
Employees were urged to display their ‘inner child’ (dil toh baccha hai ji…) when the Fundamentals got serious about having fun on “Back 2 School” day in the Western and Southern regions. You had to dress and behave like a student, and post your picture either solo or as a group on the ‘fun@work’ Facebook page. the most numbers of ‘likes’ would be the winner!
The HR team continues to inspire development through various initiatives like “Coffee & Conversation with CXO’s” and “Food for Thought” blogs and articles that are released fortnightly. 
They also continue to connect with the employees through “HR Gobbles” and “Inquizitive Fridays” which provide an easy avenue for employees to quickly refresh their know-how on processes and policies. HR also endeavours to acknowledge the commitment of employees through the Long Service Awards which were initiated in January 2018. They are an inspiration to the budding talent in the Company.
The tremendous participation in all these initiatives, and the enthusiasm of the staff show how popular these programmes are!. So, three cheers to the our colleagues and the organisers who ensure they have #Fun@Work. HR looks forward to exploring various avenues to continue the “Inspiring Partnerships”!
