What a wonderful initiative this is!
Consultant Himanshu Dave tells us that, by the end of June 2022, the Fairfax Trust’s Dialysis Mission will achieve the milestone of delivering 1000 dialysis machines across India’s poorest rural communities, creating new, more accessible and free dialysis services via 285 dialysis centres across 225 districts in 24 states.
These machines will have cumulatively completed over 10,00,000 free dialysis sessions by the end of March 2022, resulting in patients saving over Rs. 200 Cr, and the Government saving over Rs. 189 Cr. This is huge ! Just imagine the relief it has given to so many families.
Our dialysis initiative will offer free access to over 27 % of India’s rural population, and constitutes over 10% of the total dialysis machines deployed under the Prime Minister’s National Dialysis Programme (PMNDP)
Our goal going forward, is to deliver 5,00,000 free dialysis and patients saving Rs 100 Cr. every year.
