Fairfax Corporation celebrated a milestone— its 35th Anniversary. Actually it completed 35 years in 2020. An event had been planned in London in July 2020, but due to the emergence of the pandemic all plans had to be deferred.
It was now time to catch up and celebrate an incredible journey. 35 years of durability, reliability and trust. 35 years of excellence and resilience. 35 years of “providing outstanding service to customers while maintaining our fair and friendly culture and following the Golden Rule”, despite the impediments and challenges.
So from 3rd-6th July 2022, the milestone was celebrated at The Corinthia, London, hosted by Nalini and Prem Watsa.
It was attended by Directors of the Board and Senior officers of the Group along with their spouses. It also included the Management of the Insurance business spread across the world from North America, South America, the United Kingdom, Europe, the Middle East, and South and East Asia.
Also present were the MDs/CEO’s of investee companies in India, Africa and Asia. After the Insurance business in North America, India was the next largest group reflecting the importance of the investments in India.
Our MD Madhavan Menon and his wife Lilly were an integral part of this meanngful event.
The celebration included a variety of events spread over three days that were attended by all the participants.
The occasion was commemorated with diverse activities spread over various locations in London, both formal and informal culminating in a Gala Dinner on 6th. July.
The Chairman and CEO, Prem Watsa, used the opportunity to recognise and acknowledge each and every participant, and their respective spouses. He also discussed various initiatives that are being undertaken across several companies.
It was a memorable occasion where all the well-wishers and people connected to the Corporation could meet and bond.
