Keeping the strategic focus of improving efficiencies, driving back end synergies and creating vigour in the existing credit control function through a combined structure, a unified Credit Control team for Thomas Cook and SOTC has been achieved.
This credit control unit will focus on the end-to-end Collection, automation of receivables / advances, defining and analyzing client credit and exposure to the group, while leveraging the resources to better efficiency, both in terms of strategies and approaches and help improve the final impact at a group level.
Business Travel is also in the last leg of migration from Power Suite to IBook. IBook is a solution which is currently being used by Thomas Cook. It’s a mid-management back office solution completely integrated with GDS and front end Sonic at a transactional level leading to auto-invoicing and capable of auto SAP upload on a daily basis. It’s a web service platform which has the capability to integrate with any client system for pre/post data migration through API. Presently IBook is being made BT specific and all necessary UAT and data migration is happening. There is a core team comprising business, end users and IT from both sides who were involved in its conceptualisation.
Business Travel going forward will now have a new invoice format, a GST ready invoice and a good mastering of all the service level agreements in IBook. Moreover, credit limit monitoring will be more rigorous and will help in the overall process improvement. IBook for Business Travel was launched in May 2017.
