It was an Arabian Gold Weekend in Ras al Khaimah for 122 members of Travel Counsellors – an independent travel company headquartered in Manchester, England. The Gold Weekend is an annual celebration where only the top-performing members of Travel Counsellors are invited to the exclusive getaway.
The three-day, five-star retreat was co-sponsored by Ras Al Khaimah Tourism and Development Authority (RAKTDA) and Desert Adventures Tourism, which is proud to be Travel Counsellors’ preferred Destination Management Company in the UAE, Oman and Jordan.
“Travel Counsellors is a valued partner of Desert Adventures,” said Anabela Radosevic, Head of Sales and Marketing, Desert Adventures Tourism. “We are happy to have met more than a hundred of their members, shown them around Ras Al Khaimah, and have given them a first-hand experience of our distinct brand of service as a DMC.”
As the group explored the UAE’s breath-taking desert oasis, the event showcased the diversity and distinct character of Ras Al Khaimah. From the signature desert sunset experience followed by a falcon show and a Bedouin dinner feast, up to a ride across the world’s longest zip line at the UAE’s highest mountain peak, the Travel Counsellors have done it all.
Ras Al Khaimah proves to be an excellent destination choice as the emirate has been rapidly developing its tourism infrastructure, and has now been making a name for itself as the adventure hub of the region.
Overall, it was a very successful weekend for everyone. Anabela, Jean Joseph – Desert Adventures’ UK representative, as well as Key Account Managers Rizzi Lustre and Jesse Chedotal, were all on hand and ensured that the entire programme exceeded the expectations of all its participants.
