DAT and Gulf Dunes Align Marketing, Operations with GDPR

Pulse_June 20185

When the European Union  enacted its new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), it caused quite a stir across the world. Compliance is mandatory for any entity servicing EU citizens and firms.

Desert Adventures Tourism (DAT) and Gulf Dunes have always taken data privacy seriously. As the GDPR came to effect in May, both companies have made sure that all measures are in place. Privacy policies for DAT and GULF DUNES have been updated, detailing how they are collecting, keeping, and processing personal data. Contacts in the databases were notified of changes and were requested to indicate how they want to receive marketing communications.

A privacy and security law like the GDPR has been a long time coming. Ensuring that all personal data are protected and are used appropriately is not just a requirement of that policy–it should be the norm.
