In our Luxe Asia Office, it is the tradition, on the first working day of the New Year, to have a celebratory get together. Every staff member brings an item of food, resulting in an eclectic array of delicious dishes… a huge pot-luck! Everyone is happy to contribute as this gives each one a sense of bonding.
Lighting of the oil lamp precedes all our ceremonies, symbolic of light and warmth and positivity. After that was done, our MD Chaminda gave an inspirational speech welcoming the New Year and all it entails.
Also, traditionally, as soon as the formalities were over, the staff was ready to tuck into the delectable food and enjoy the occasion!
