Key Managers Seminar: Pathway to Profitable Growth

SOTC recently concluded an exciting Key Managers Seminar this 2017. It was the perfect platform to set and align strategic objectives, disseminate knowledge, learn new concepts, enhance collaboration, promote networking and foster a sense of camaraderie amongst participants. With more than 100 SOTC employees attending, KMS allowed the managerial and leadership team of SOTC to discuss key issues of concern with the organisation.

The inspiring key note speech from Madhavan Menon, Chairman & MD  of the TCIL Group, conveyed the message of the ‘Power of One’ and the importance of Innovation to help us grow strong as one group. Vishal Suri, MD, SOTC Travel, transparently showcased the accomplishments of last year and this year. He also clearly highlighted current priorities and future plans.

There were interesting special learning sessions from Indigo Airlines and EY. Two spectacular panel discussions featuring panelists from outside the industry encouraged learning from different industries.

The Art of Startup – Lessons for Large Organizations saw an interesting mix of speakers representing the entrepreneurial world. It saw four esteemed panel members, Paula Mariwala (Seedfund), Bala Girisaballa (Microsoft Accelerator), Ritu Srivastava (Obino) and Tarun Sharma (MCaffeine), brilliantly share various strategies and unconventional approaches taken by start-ups & investment organisations.

The panel discussion on Leadership Insights on Transformation and Profitable Growth was designed to give participants a plethora of usable content on latest transformation and changes that are being crafted within various industries. The three esteemed panel members, Krishna Raman (Bajaj Electric), Salil Dalal (Pidilite) and Kannan Chakravarthy (Mahindra Ltd), vividly explained the topic of transformation with a few practical cases and examples.

The training on Design Thinking conducted by Tinker Labs showcased the five pillars of Design Thinking – Empathy, Define, Ideate, Prototype & Test which were quite relevant, enlightening and profound.

The Theme of KMS for 2017 focused on Profitable Growth and was, indeed, apt, contemporary and relevant, encompassing the necessary focus on Profitable Growth and key priorities. The enthusiasm to learn and participate in this event made KMS a great success, and an activity much looked forward to!
