News and Updates Asian Trails | Q1 2026
Dear Pulse reader,
I’m happy to begin my quarterly update for Asian Trails with another “Happy New Year” from our teams.
As you may know, as well as the Gregorian New Year in January, and then Lunar New Year (February in China, Vietnam, etc.), many of our Asian Trails destinations celebrate their new year in April with fun-filled water festivals. In our head office in Bangkok, we enjoyed a modest, traditional moment with our teams, who participated in a traditional water pouring ceremony with myself and Chairman Luzi.
As usual, 2026 began with many international trade shows and sales calls, such as FITUR in Spain, OTM in India and ITB in Germany, where Asia was, as always, a hot topic for discussion.
Despite the unforeseen challenges we’ve faced in recent weeks, 2026 has seen more progress for us on many levels. Internally, our teams have been working on continuation and initiation of several projects that will certainly enhance our future productivity. I hope to bring more updates on these projects across the year.
In February we published our latest Sustainability Report for 2025, highlighting the progress of our responsible travel initiatives and the impact achieved over the past year. The report outlines the initiatives and contributions of our staff towards environmental stewardship and community development. It is the dedication of our staff and the engagement of our partners that allows us to advance sustainable tourism in this region.
Our team in Vietnam renewed its Travelife Partner status for the third time, reaffirming our commitment to responsible tourism practices.
We have also produced a new MICE Collection brochure, which acts as a one-stop showcase for Asian Trails’ destinations to promote our MICE services, and links to a collection of presentations to provide comprehensive information to support sales.
This latest brochure compliments our extensive range, which include our Explore series, that can be accessed from our website’s Resources page.

- Myanmar: Visa-free travel for Russian visitors
